Endangered Red Wolf Pups Born at the Wildlife Science Center

Stacy, MN - The Wildlife Science Center is delighted to announce the birth of a litter of endangered red wolves. Red wolves were once throughout Eastern United States but were nearly extirpated, leaving 14 individuals in 1979. These wolves remain extremely rare, with only a handful of them remaining in the wilds of North Carolina. Captive breeding programs for these wolves are crucial for the survival of the species and we are proud to be a part of this nationwide effort. The proud mom is resting comfortably with her new babes.
